The Pony Express

March 29 through May 2, 2011

What is the enduring legacy of the Pony Express?

The Pony Express produced an enduring legacy despite a brief 19-month existence. Was it the adventurous, young riders who galloped their way into American hearts? Or Buffalo Bill Cody, who celebrated the Pony Express after its expiration in his Wild West shows? Whatever the answer, the mystery and romance that surround its history continue today.

Special thanks to artist Peter Fillerup and Treasure International School students from Leslie Stark’s history class and Michele Dieterich’s graphic design classes.
