John Willard Young is my great grandfather. I believe records show he had 4 wives (polygamous). My great grandmother Luella was his 4th wife. They had four children. After polygamy became illegal in Utah (1890?) Luella left him, remarried and became a Christian Scientist and lived in the Midwest.
My research shows that John W failed in his railroading business finally and died alone (alienated from Utah relatives) and poor in NYC (92nd St and Broadway). One of his sons, from a different wife, was an infamous convicted murderer in NYC.

Here’s further information on JW Young’s son, William Hooper, who was a convicted murderer in NYC and how JW Young is connected to it.

I question the photo. It’s either not him or not from the time period. I have a very nice photograph of him taken by the notable studio in NY during his years there. His life is one of the more colorful in Mormon history from both religious and temporal crossroads.
