My Grandparents lived and worked in Park City. My Grandfather, Justo Yriondo work at the Silver King Mine. My Grandmother, Isabel Yriondo ran a Boarding House. I think(but not positive) the name of the boarding house was the Royal Hotel. He passed away in 1943 at the age of 51 and she passed in 1966 at 71. Their nationality was Basque. Their children’s names were Helen Yriondo Leatham, John Yriondo, & Joe Yriondo. They have all passed. I am currently writing my Ancestry & I am interested in anything I can find out about our history as it relates to my family and their live in Park City.
My son & his family were in Park City this past weekend. Their son played in the Soccer Tournament. He had many questions about where his great grandparents lived & worked.
If anyone has suggestions as to how I can access more information concerning our family I would sincerely appreciate it. Respectifully, Utahna Yriondo Lemoine

I was in Park City the night the Coalition Building burned in 1981. I was 17 at the time; my family used to spend summer months staying at the Edelweiss Haus.

My parents woke my brother and sisters and I in the early morning, we loaded ourselves into the family station wagon and drove up the hill to find a suitable vantage point where we watched the structure burn. I recall being able to feel the heat even though we were several blocks away.
