All Aboard – Next Station Stop, Park City’s Railroad History Hike with “Conductor” David Nicholas
Two different Hikes- one August 5th 10 a.m. and the other October 14th at 10 a.m.
This hiking season the Park City Museum offers two hikes exploring the town’s railroad history.
The second railroad themed excursion is Saturday 10/14. We’ll “walk and talk” regarding the rail infrastructure in lower Deer Valley that served the Judge Smelter, the Park City Consolidated Mine (Park Con) and the Judge Loading Station. We anticipate that two renowned local historians will join us. These gentlemen have firsthand experience when the Union Pacific served Park City. Pacific.
We’ll meet 10am in the Deer Valley Plaza parking lot. Estimated total time, 3 hours. We’ll “travel” on existing side walks and streets. Again, please dress appropriately and bring water bottles.
Closing date and time for signing-up for the October 14th hike: October 9th at 5 p.m.
