Matt Basso, Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of History at University of Utah, will give a lecture called The History of Work in America — Where Park City and Utah Fit In at the Park City Museum located at 528 Main Street on November 15, 2017 from 5-6PM. America has seen several revolutions — some widely recognized, others largely forgotten — in the way we work. Join Matt Basso to explore this history and think through some of the unique — and not so unique — aspects of the history of work in Park City and Utah more broadly. The Park City Museum will be hosting the Way We Worked exhibition from November 11, 2017 through January 10, 2018. The Way We Worked has been made possible in Utah by Utah Humanities. The exhibition, created by the National Archives, is part of Museum on Main Street, and collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress.
