From the heydays of its19th century silver boom to modern times as one of the world’s most notable ski towns, Park City has enjoyed quite an evolution. Ski historian Tom Kelly will walk you through Park City’s history as a ski town, from miners on barrel staves to ski jumping at Ecker Hill to the growth of two of the world’s most revered ski resorts.
Park City’s Tom Kelly is a noted ski historian who served over 30 years as spokesman for the U.S. Ski Team. He is a past chair of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame and the current chair of the Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation. In 2019 he was honored with membership in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame.
