The Board of Trustees of the Park City Museum is pleased to announce the appointment of long time member and volunteer, Andrew Cohen, as the new Interim Executive Director, replacing outgoing Executive Director Sandra Morrison. Cohen is known to many Parkites as a volunteer DJ on KPCW and as the Board Chairman of The Egyptian Theater, and he brings a wealth of business expertise to the museum.
Cohen will continue the momentous growth the museum has enjoyed over the last 22 years under Morrison’s leadership, as it grew from a single museum on Main Street to the addition of The Glenwood Cemetery, Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History as well as the Education & Collections Center on Sidewinder Drive. “I am excited to lead the Park City Museum by honoring our past while telling our stories that make today’s Park City special,” said Cohen. “The museum has an outstanding legacy of history preservation, exhibits, educational programs, and advocacy. It is one of Park City’s cultural treasures. I love the mission of the organization and look forward to meeting our members, guests, volunteers and donors as they visit our Museum. This is a great honor and I appreciate the opportunity to serve.“
“Andrew’s experience, skills and infectious energy will be invaluable to the Museum as we continue to preserve, protect and promote our rich history in the face of the continued growth of the Park City community,” said Paige Anderson, President of the Board of Trustees.
The Museum thanks Ms. Morrison for her many years of dedicated service and wishes her the very best in her future endeavors.
